Pentyrch Stud

Quality Welsh Ponies

Established in 1957

The Pentyrch Stud was formed when Ty'r Bryn Fenella was purchased and this mare went on to breed many well-known ponies over the years. Another early purchase was Wellfield Silver Minnow and these two mares were to prove excellent foundation stock.

More ponies such as Pentyrch Pipette, Pablo, Petite and Pearl gained awards at both major and local shows. Jean would have been very proud of the fact that Pentych Champagne and Pentyrch Sweet Sherry had both won their respective Brood Mare and Foal Cups, awards by the Wales and Border Counties Show Society for Points gained during the 1992 season - (cup which have gone to Pentych ponies on many previous occasions).
